Fairytales Poem by Kendra Evans

Fairytales

Rating: 5.0

I met you.....
when cows still jumped over the moon,
When witches still rode upon brooms,
When unicorns roamed my forest dreams,
When lullabies were as if whispered sweet nothings.
I met you....
When the man still sat on the moon,
When the Cheshire cat smiled and laughed his tune,
But all those things didn't prepare me for you.....

You came in the story like a gilded knight,
Your true essence signed bright,
That's when I found I was encased in night.
I ran to the furthest sea and crossed it,
Took me years to see I was lost then,
But only seconds to remember the way back.
When I met you.....
I had only dreamed of fairytales
But now I watch them come true.
