Fairytales Don'T Always Have A Happy Ending. Poem by Casey Montgomery

Fairytales Don'T Always Have A Happy Ending.

Rating: 4.5

So thats how the fairytale ended
But story time's over and its time for bed.
I wish I had a quater for every time you pretended
I guess I'm not that rich.

So thats how my storybook goes
Flip through the chapters of my life
I wanted this like nobody knows
I guess I'm not that lucky.

Okay, thats what we fall asleep to
Lies and promises to keep us calm
I always hoped that I would have you
I guess I'm not too smart.

Maybe its what we always dream of
But every dreamer has to wake up
For not everybody can find that love
I guess I'm not that happy.

They say that every heart started out beating
I've heard that mine still is but
that hasn't stopped the bleeding.
I guess it wasn't you
