Faith? Poem by Conor Phelan

Faith?

Who are You to give us orders?
How we should live, how we should be.
You have given us nothing, see
If belief can change us, borders
Redrawn, books rewritten, we
Are one, disillusioned with You.
Do not believe that we are few,
No longer look towards the sky,
We do not avert our eyes from
You, yet we do not ignore You,
But we are confused of what to
Do. The believers and the non.
But I am scared. What if I am
Wrong? All I am, is just a man.

I guess we are all allowed to play with doubt...even if you believe or don't, there are moments of uncertainty, where questions don't find answers...I think you have summed it pretty well...the confusion and then the fleeting fear...good write...
