Faith V Fear Poem by Basil Johnson

Faith V Fear

Rating: 5.0

Faith and fear cannot exist together,
Faith is being certain of what we do not see,
Fear is unbelief or weak belief,
As unbelief takes the upper hand in our thoughts, fear takes hold of our emotions,
Faith delivers us from fear and worry, faith is the opposite of unbelief,
Faith is a gift, not something we can produce by ourselves,
'Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God'
Faith does not mature without trials,
Throughout life we will continue to face various trials that would cause us to fear,
But God assures us we can know a calm peace through every situation,
'The peace of God which transcends all understanding' which he has promised
'Will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus'
Amen

Fear is a bunch of sinister shadows. A shadow has no substance, it's usually only a magnified reflection of something small. That's why on standing up to fear we often find it inconsequential. Faith, on the other hand is acting on what one believes in. It is an expression of confidence in God and His Word. Faith is obeying God to proof that you believe Him, so as to commit Him to fulfill His Word. If ones faith does not endure, the person will not endure because faith keeps those that keep the faith. A lovely piece of poetry penned with spiritual insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
