Faithful Friend Of Israel Poem by Denis Martindale

He really stood the test of time, a faithful friend and more,
His influence was quite sublime, through miracles galore.

He knew the God-sent destiny that Israel would fulfill,
He also knew of Calvary, according to God's will.

He quoted Scriptures now and then, with words of knowledge, too,
He preached, and saw folks born again, perhaps he preached to you.

What kind of man does kindness make? What mercies from the Lord?
To survive the saddest heartbreak, and yet with faith restored?

I know that he was just a man, yet with a heart of gold,
He preached God has a perfect plan, the greatest story ever told!
