Fall Into Place Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Fall Into Place

I believe that you're right for me
But not for the modern trope
That boy meets girl, girl meets boy
Then they follow each other
Any and everywhere.
It's simpler than that.
You're an average woman
One who cries when she is sad.
One who is afraid of all bugs that creep and crawl,
That barely has enough time to sit back
And relax. You work, you go to school
And somewhere in the middle
You're able to connect with a guy like me.
An average guy who is stubborn.
That thinks that he is right more than half the time.
Comfortable in his own skin but still
Second guesses his appearance.
Nothing about us is perfect.
We're two separate pieces from two different
Puzzle boxes. But.
Together we make the scenery that much better.
I've known nothing else but to pull you close
And everything else will fall into place.
The richest if not wealthiest experience
Of my life
