Fallen Poem by Nitin Jacob

Fallen

Slither your past
And prefer an act
You glimpse,
Sunflowers bloom
At summer dusk
Under the shade
Of an undying urge
For you said,
“Cover me wholly
Swathe my eyes
So I see no evil
And feel no sting”
But it echoed
“Fume for your life
These flames may die
But your spirits last
Under the cold skin”
Thus the phantasm
In my warm body
Beckoned the gist
Of this life
While I stood
Nigh the brook
Beside the grime
In solicit to dip
My slip
While I converse
With own reflect
For I may not fall
Down
Fallen
No!
No.
