Falling For Me Poem by Naresh Mulukunte

Falling For Me

Like a snake she glides into my life; with a sharp pointy attitude just like a knife.
Im addicted to her smile, its like cocaine; im not sure but i might fall for her in this love campaign.
I tell her about my aims, i tell her about my passion; she surveys me like a scholar with looks of fascination.
Shes all iv got though, i think of her as a treasure; Im as nervous as a fine fickle fresher.
My path to success is hard and trying; she guides me and tells me that this is not as tough as lying.
I see sense in her words but then again i see many things; i re-assure her worried self by telling her that im the king of kings.
She held my hand, her face tense, her legs shaking, we were watching King Kong; i leaned on her shoulder, smelled her hair, it was just like a pathos song.
And then one day, she walked away, Leaving me so surprised, so angry, so sad, i didnt know what to say.
I tried to call her, she ignored it; I was so hurt, i had to use the mental first aid kit.
But i met her in a coffee shop - Serendipity; All i cud tell her was - you are my anti-gravity.
She wanted to run away, i could sense it coming; I wanted to know the reason, the reason for our undoing.
I wanted to know the reasons, as bad as they may be; and then she confessed that she was afraid to fall for me.
