False Hope Poem by Lisa Kramer

False Hope

When i gave you my heart,
You ripped apart,
Right in front of my face,
Just when I thought things were falling in place.

Looking back I don't know why i couldn't see,
That you are just not good for me,
Maybe I'm being irrational because you don't feel the same,
But did you have to lead me on over and over again?

I guess that's how it goes we weren't meant to be,
Believed in false hope, now so deceived,
I just wish it wouldn't have ended that way,
You painted me a blue sky then turned it to gray.
