False Love Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

False Love

Rating: 2.5

I should have known that seducing you
Was a hurtful and damaging thing to do.
I should have cared for the person inside
Instead of which I joked and lied.
I didn't care one bit for you,
I was just determined to'have a sc**w'.
(I suppose it flattered my foolish pride
That you lay awake that night and cried.)
