Given that often family is closer home
Inveigled into a neighborhood competition
To win most successful in facial ramification
Everyone's frustration is doubled which is no one's fault
Mischievous kids wanting more fun are unique

Whenever Dad is home Mum's odds to win are high
Knowing we are not cooperative charity helped herself
Reporting and reporting we never cared
This competition indubitably is worthless
Until one day we reconciled our differences

Those who won only did once and for all
Losing heavily yet did not and cannot quit
Our repossession is far beyond fear
Blood is not, love is not, talk not about interest
Such is family where everything goes

Kids are kids, Dad is dad, and Mum is mum
You can only do little sometimes nothing
Yes! For family is where you are put to test
Enduring ordinarily what you'd not
Supposed where-else was like home
