Family Lies Poem by Rachel Dowd

Family Lies

Family ties are always lies
They love to trick and deceive
They think hidden motives go unnoticed
Silly little minx

I know the hate
You hold for me
I laugh at it pleased

My grin only widens
At all the weak 'surprises'
You think you trap me in
But I quickly flip the script

You can't not trap the master
In your so called disaster
Because still I rise
