Explore My Mind Poem by Rachel Dowd

Explore My Mind

Rating: 4.8

Take my hand
And let's go explore my mind
See all the twist and turns?
That's where all the ideas hide
They creep around and are quite hard to catch
But so exquisite when bound

Around that bend right there you see
Are all the memories
I hold them though they seem to fade
Tears so bittersweet berate
My face
But a smile intercedes

Oh, take my hand, please
The tours not done not quite yet
Many places still left to see

This is where the darkness lies
The place where monsters dwell
Please no feeding into them
As I already live in hell

That there is trauma
That one is regret
Oh that monstrosity is depression
He reigns as the sovereign

Wait what? Leaving already?
Oh please stay and play
It gets so lonely by myself
Nobody to help alleviate the pain...
PLEASE, I BEG DONT GO DONT LEAVE!
I've always been alone!
Are they the monster or is it me
No longer can I hold
This in I need someone to let me out
I'm a heart trapped in a head!
Bound to drown in death
