Far Away Poem by Nitya Swaruba

Far Away

I see the world from where I lay
A truth meets the eye, I'm dimmed
I search for you, a needle in hay
My heart in sole, feels grim

I never owned a reason to feel
The dire strait a parting can be
Now I do, and I cannot heal
You are in a far away galaxy

Things I thought I'd rather not tell
Keep breaking away from their chains
I sit here bound by an evil spell
Clinging to a memory that remains

We were near, we were far
For a matter of time we allowed
The beat you heard of my heart
Now you can't its shouts out loud

I think I'm strong but I melt down
In the traces of you on my hands
I can't hold on, I'd leave this town
Fly to you in the far away land

I laugh away, a happiness plays
But one thought makes life strange
The not being of your beautiful ways
As days go by and seasons change

Of all the ways... we're far away
Not the way for this dream to go
We wait for fate to bring that day
A hug, a kiss, and a tomorrow.
