Far From Here Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Far From Here

Rating: 5.0

Sat under that old Oak tree
watching the day pass me by
thinking of how we use to be
in a time not meant for you and me

Said I'm going far from here
got to be something better out there
more than what we show in fear
where I can watch the setting sun disappear

Going to where the wide river's flow
a place only God will know
on a mountain all covered in snow
where the desert shines down below

Said I'm going far from here
where no one else is near
underneath that burning sky
where nothing never seems to die
a place you never have to try

Going to where the Eagle's fly
where no one seems to shed a tear
in the shadow of the night
you can see the star's shining bright
away from that neon light
where the Wolves run wild and free

And I'm going far from here
to a place you never wonder why
where there's no wrong or right
just the beauty of nature in my sight
(spiritwind-2010)
