Fate Of Sorts Poem by James Meaney

Fate Of Sorts

Fearfully and wonderfully
with wings like rainbows
Oars of fire
Pushing past willows
gently upon the water
inscribing signs of -
You that signify -
My goodbye
And nearby my future
Is waiting at a dock
shining bands of color
branded with a banner
soaked with a pain
but left out to dry
And here I am
floating past And by
my destined path of Fate.
