Father 3 - Flowers For My Dad Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Father 3 - Flowers For My Dad

Rating: 5.0

Twenty one years have passed by
So swiftly, like a flash of lightening,
I can, now, see you only
As a framed photograph!
But the vision of your kind presence
Is ever etched in my memory.

Though my eyes cannot perceive
Your awesome personality,
My heart can always feel
Your mysterious presence!
You continue to be present
In every thought and action.

Your spirit keeps guarding me
From all dangers that I may fall into,
Your spirit is ever guiding me
To remain alert, cautious and mindful,
Your spirit is ever protecting me
From the evils of this world.

Dearest Daddy,
Here is a bouquet of flowers for you,
Hope you will be able to receive it.
Here is wishing that you are safe,
Happy and peaceful,
In your new form and abode.

Your loving daughter
Geeta

A wonderful poem, Geeta. Five stars for this! It has been almost that same amount of time since my own father passed away.
