Favourite Tune Poem by Charles McBride

Favourite Tune

Verse #1: Near or far it doesn't matter at all, The thought of you puts me in an instant free fall. No holding back no hesitating, Gotta make this happen I cant stand waiting. Sounds of your words and that look in your eyes, Makes me wanna find a way to stand out from these other guys. What must be done what must be said, to get these feelings outta me and into your head. Like walking on air when I mention your name, Wanna get that wifey and retire the game. Call you sunshine cause you brighten my day, Make life that much better in every single way. Your lookin lonely baby and im lonely too, so could I have a word with you maybe even two. Got mixed emotions every time we speak, and when we touch my heart skips a beat. I wanna be yours but are u feelin that too, My head all confused like usher whats a man to do. This burnin fire drives my desire, I could say i didn't care but id be a liar. Every time your in another mans arms im not fine, because he held my world for that small amount of time.

Chorus: Got you in my head like my favourite song, Please come back soon I cant stand the distance to long. Headphones on my head and you are too, So I guess I can call you my favourite tune.

Verse #2: Baby I don't got long, don't have forever, Im not playin games ain't tryin to be clever. Need you in my life like i need air, Do anything for ya go any where. So lets stop playing games and make this fair, I want you and you want me, So all that's left is the ending to this story. Or maybe its more its just the begging, Take those vows and make you the reason for living. Outta all the stars in the sky you shine so bright, Feel the heat off your body and its feels so right. We doing wrong and it goes all night, rockin under sheets until there's sunlight. Don't be shy put your body on me, we be twistin and turnin like origami.

Chorus: Got you in my head like my favourite song, Please come back soon I cant stand the distance to long. Headphones on my head and you are too, So I guess I can call you my favourite tune.
