Through sin, we’re now a fallen race
A stench to God on high
But though God’s Lamb we’re given grace
To live and never die
There’s no one else, the truth, is here
We need but call His name
We need The Lord our God to fear
Or die the death of shame
To reverence God is none exempt
We all; must fear His ways
Familiarity breeds contempt
As seen these latter days
“But God is love”, we hear so much
From truth, we’ve grown so blind
The devil keeps us out of touch
His lies cloud up the mind
Unapproachable is The Light –1Ti.6: 16
God’s glory far too great
All filth to venture in His sight
Must share the devil’s fate
Yet when in faith God’s will is done
When truth we understand
It’s never hard to love His Son
Nor heed His least command
John saw the truth in Jesus’ eyes –Rev.1: 14
His feet like bronze aglow –Rev.1: 15
Consuming Fire that never dies –Isa.30: 27
There’s so much more to know
Who know; will turn their lives from sin
Will love Salvation’s rules
When truth has finally come within
We’ll cease to die like fools…
