Fears

My life is filled with fears

Filled with tears

& it's the fears that hold me back

Will i be strong enough to get myself back on track

Love is my primal fear

It has only given me heartache

& left me with tears

When i love they don't love back

This is the fear that sends me off track

I give them truth they give me lies

It's the heartache from the lies

Which made me wanna die

Now my spirit is strong

My mind is now clear

It's with this power

I will use to alleviate my fear

A poem that depicts heartfelt thoughts toward a precious emotion 'Love'. I've never feared love, I welcome it and have never been dissapointed. My late husband of over 40 years together loved each other to the end and I still love him although I know I must move on. When you find that special person to share your life with, you will then realize how wonderful and precious love is and realize at the same time there's nothing to fear. Excellent poem Soul Writer.

I think alot of people can relate to this - everyone fears love and scorned love.
But it is good that you got past it all and became a stronger person!
    Well done :)

Ramon, we all have fears, I am of the philosophy that if you face your fears, they no longer become fears. Another great write here. Top marks and thanks for sharing it my friend.

This is my favourite of the two you have posted so far... I can relate to the issues and the feelings... I's similar to some of my poems and lyrics I have written (but haven't posted them!) (Report) Reply
