Victor or Victim?

Martyrs are men who die for the cause
Eager to prove their theory is right
Repeating the phrase 'I believe-I believe'
With christian values purer than white.
Surrendering not to doubting opposition,
But displaying the banner of conviction.
St. Stephen, well-known martyr from history
was stoned to death within olden-day laws.
Although a victim - 'His was the Victory'
He was the martyr who died for a cause.
