Fickle Companions - Poem by Anita Atina

Words come and go
Fickle companions
Like time, that changes
Without warning

What remains constant
Is the deeper knowing
That what we feel
Is true

Unfettered by words or time
Nor counted in lives
That once born
Must, pass on

Our story shall continue
From the past
Into the future, even when
The present, meanders away
