Fifteen - Three Poem by Jodie Meen

Fifteen - Three

Rating: 5.0

Fifteen weeks and three days,
Times blurred, gone by in a blaze.
Since I saw you in the hospital bed,
Since I saw you take your last breath.

It still seems like yesterday
When I walked in the ward and you said 'Hey! '
There's so many things we wont do any more,
like watching films filled with blood and gore.

What can they say?
to make me feel ok?
No more believing,
that you'll be back someday.

Fifteen weeks and three days,
Now the suns given you all its rays
You give me courage, you give me light,
You give me guidance to make it through the night.
