Fighting It Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Fighting It

Failed yet again, gave in and failed.
Its an addiction I'm not proud of,
All that time wasted trying to beat it
went well for a month....then i lost it.
Trying to grip it and climb back up,
I try so hard and then slip up.
Trying to beat this, trying to fight it,
Can't shake it, can't break it. Why ask
for forgivness if I don't deserve it?
can't tell anyone even though I know
that they're there for me, but look through
my eyes and its a diffrent story. Through
these broken crystals, I'm pathedic and low,
Wanting to change as I lay here thinking
that it won't happen again, I'm so sure,
But then again I was so sure last time.
Ahh! Its driving me insane! So much stuff
is on my mind, and I just want it all to go away!
Ahh! Wanting to break it, I' still fighting it,
But for how much longer? I'm not sure how
long I can stand it and swallow my pain........

everyone fails and makes mistakes, what you gotta do when that happens is just get back up on your feet and keep walking the path of life and try again. friends are what we call people who help us encourage ourselves when it feels like we cant do it. its all a matter of hope and effort. keep trying and gettin back up even when you feel as though you cant. text me whenever you feel down and cant do it, ill help encourage you and help you see that you can. the only thing that keeps you from accomplishing your goal is yourself doubt. learning to defeat that self doubt is hard but at the end, when you accomplish it, you'll feel alot better and see that its not as hard as you tell yourself it is. im here for ya sis. good poem.
