Finally Understanding Poem by Mathew Sutter

It has taken me a long time,
To figure this out.
But I finally understand,
That I need to change.
I am not who I was,
And in this I have lost myself.
I hurt my family,
And my friends.
And in doing this,
Have hurt myself.

It will take a while,
To change who I am,
To become who I was,
But I already made my first step,
To doing this.

I am finally understanding,
Where I went wrong.
I hope they will forgive me,
For I have done wrong.
