Fire Fight Poem by Lightman George Garrett Anastasia

Fire Fight

Children in a crowded house
Daddy smoking rope
It’s the only way he can cope.
He and mother taking pills
To get up in the day
And night to go down.
Tracks of the demon
Running all around
They pretend to be free
But it’s only a lie
And only the truth be seen
Through the children’s eyes
So you preach and you tell
What you think they should hear
Only in actuality
Is the truth in the vision so clear
So in their journey seeking wrong from the right
Heading straight for the darkness
Never knowing the light
Flesh pounding flesh in
A fire bed night
Another appropriation they can’t afford
Would not be aloud
With an appropriation board
Life liberty and happiness
Must be garneted
From deep in the womb
Newly conceive souls cry
HOW ABOUT ME!
