Firefly Poem by John Shea

Firefly

I see you in the evening
My sight waning
With your lovely flashing light
My thoughts are childish
As I catch you in my mason jar
You vanish as sudden as you appear
My life waning
Memories coming from afar
In my mind
I see you every evening
Where do you hide
Probably on a star
Fuel for your life
Feeding your evening flight
