First Love Poem by Stephen Gradwell

First Love

We hide our flaws like never before,
Anger in my brain I show the door,
I've never felt like this before,
Of those sad, lonely, withdrawn,
Im not one of you anymore

You try to dress sexy for me,
Everytime you fail miserably,
For your purer, truer qualities shine through,
Along with the need for mutual security,
Everyday my hollow heart fills out some more
Doubts in my brain I knock to the floor

We tell of our imperfections through we know they don't matter,
Our convosations no longer mindless banter,
Every song i've ever known was written about you an I,
Could I be with you till I die,
The change from friend to lover accelerates some more.

I no longer have doubts about you and I anymore.
