First Love Lesson Poem by J. G. X. Borrege

First Love Lesson

Let us, you and I,
Once more linger over this trampled bed,
The labor of our innocence;
Where we hid.
For I was not blind to bluff
You
When you murmured no
Then let loose the whirligig toy.

(Yet forever I shall see
Your little timid face abed
Left like a crust of bread.)

Widow Lady
(War Widow)

Dancing round set-up wind & roses
surely she supposes
what a ghastly thing Death is
when greeted with a kiss...
