Flames Poem by Yakubu Mohammed

Flames

The fire burns; persistently,
Moons after moons
Faraway into the jungle smiles the Treasure.
Mirage? Ha, ha, ha, I laugh.

Years of academic tutelage
Never fallen from the palm tree.
Eulogies surged my bones
And the marrows swam in ecstasy
And the environment blissfully welcome
Home amidst white sets.

Dearest Pride of the millenium,
With life the stars gitter.
Life of utter gusto.
Give kudos to the atmospheric perception
And accommodate thy prey to thy
Illustrious hut amidst gleeful sets.

The fire burns; persistently.
Indeed in sooth and in truth.
