Flawless Poem by Steve 'easy' Whitacre

Flawless

Quite flawless beauty, With immortal grace,
Yet so few have seen past her delicate face.
Look past her smile, beyond her gentle glow,
Into her heart, which closed so long ago.

Where once there once was a laughter,
The happy dancing of a of pure life of joy,
All now is lost, hidden deep in darkest silence,
Soul far misplaced in a maelstrom of cries.

Her lustre now hiding, gripped in unworthy hands,
Torn out by false promises, which few yet understand,
Amidst all their lies, lay her deepest rooted of pain,
Left grieving at the loss, within dark embrace,

Throughout this pain, there builds a resilience,
To rising above captors, overcome their impudence.
Truly difficult journey, a search to re-find her true self
Will she find a new future, whole once again,

The damage of abuse never really ends, but with time
it can be overcome...

easy...
