Float With Me Poem by H E Alexander

Float With Me

O catch me the wind in a gold threaded net
and bring me your dreams in a peach-woven gown.
Follow my thoughts with your divine clarinet,
then stay with me here until the sun goes down.
Fly from your mind, let your freedom depart,
search the whole world for my blood-burdened heart.

Paint your name in platinum-laced tears
with letters enriched with silver and pearl.
Dance with your demons, elope with your fears,
come wrap me up in your ribbons and curls.
If you were an angel and I were your death
I'd give back to you your last precious breath.

O trade me your life, sell me your soul,
let me touch your lips ‘till the morning breaks.
Lay in my dreams, let the twilight unfold,
believe in me now, permit your fantasies awake.
Drink from my veins, taste of my blood,
float with me freely, forever entwined in my mood.
