Florance Poem by Londizwi Shezi

Florance

Brown eyes,
With her complexion brightened,
Sun shined in the garden of Eden,
Duplicating her beauty and complexion,
Sun may be brighter than stars and diamonds,
But not like her
For it beauty was stolen from her,
She's like my brain
For she is the center,
Of the universe,
All the planets
Revolves around her.
Jupiter the largest,
Pluto the smallest,
But she chose to brighten my soul with her light,
The galaxy is dark
For I stole it light
And gravity
to balances my happiness
And eternal love I have for her,
Grey hair will never change her,
In my heart and the center of my nervous system
Forever she remains Florance,
Earthquakes and wars,
Sharp swords
From the mouth,
Can never extract our souls
Binded by grace
And love,
The blessing of earth
I'm blessed
For by grace it was given to thyself

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The aim of this poem was not to copy nor prove I can write almost like shakespear but instead I wrote it to honour him as he is one of best poet this universe has ever seen. So this is my way of showing gratitude to him for paving a way for all of us to go through. My aim was to attempt bringing him back to life by including words such as eternal love of which was one of his favourite as he believed his work to remain forever. The aim is not just honouring shakespear but all the poet who existed in his time and before as they are the ones who paved the way for us new age poet. They are our heroes.
