Floundering
I don't know what I'm doing here.
I'm no poet or prophet,
Definitely not a sage.
I more often flounder under the weight of my thoughts
Than float in the halcyon days.
I guess we all suffer from delusions of grandeur at times
No one wants to be mediocre do they?
In the end all we have is the striving, the climbing
Toward those imagined heights
Which is beautiful in its own right........
I have to believe so anyway.

Poet's Notes about The Poem
This is a thought that never quite reached fruition but I posted it anyways. Hopefully this man's trash is another man's treasure.

i would say write write write....just for the fun of it...to make yourself happy and heard above the mediocre daily banter.....and in the process if you get a few nice poems its worth it....
nice organised thought went into these lines, , , liked em
:)
An enjoyable piece to read, keep writing, I for one just try to put rhymes together which bring me peace IF they work, I also always say I am no poet, we all express ourselves in different ways.
