Bougainvillaea
Blends and splashes its colours through its
Beaming bracts,
Branching and spreading like a flame.
Hues red of a glowing sunrise,
Hues orange of a soothing sunset,
Shades pink of pretty angel wings,
Shades yellow of juicy ripe mangoes.
Serene, yet colourful, Bougainvillaea
Sets its attractive colours through
Silky bracts, so soft and tender,
Signalling as a brand gender.
Do not be misguided by these
Dazzling beauties,
For they are neither leaves nor
Flowers, but flashy coloured bracts.
The tiny white flowers of Bougainvillaea,
Tactfully hide, enveloped by the bracts,
To be protected from the pecking birds,
To be guarded from the pestering bees.
Thorns abound the branches of Bougainvillaea,
Thriving as bodyguards of these tropical flames.
Think not to dismiss these playful bracts,
They are a joyous tribute to the kingdom of plants.
Poem on Beaming bougainvillas beautifully penned. The various colours red, orange compared to sunrise sunset also depicts the poet's love for nature. Superb photography too.
Beaming bracts we see in branching of beautiful Bougainvillaea. You have nicely observed and interestingly penned this poem with hope and love. Dazzling beauties we feel of these flowers. Thorns abound the branches of Bougainvillaea to protect flowers. We feel tender essence from every line in this excellent poem.10
