Flowers And Thorns Poem by Marza Pam

Flowers And Thorns

Children running through broken towns
People buy without looking around
Families smile with few gifts they've been given
Lonely people hugging again

Friends who know eachother
oh, so very well
Companions who've helped them all through Hell
Boys who leave and Men who stay
Men who abandon
And son's living without name
And all alive without shame

Sisters who love
Despite their alarm
Brothers who try
Even when unarmed
Fathers keep working without pay
Mothers raise them to keep their charm
And a faith in God that one can only pray
