Flowery Words Poem by Obed dela Cruz

If flowery words are being planted
And not just being driven by the air
I think that this world won’t be disgusted.
It will be a picture that we can bear.

Of course, we need to let these flowers grow
For they need to be harvested one day.
How to plant and maintain them we must know.
When they die, a lot of bills we must pay.

Let not this world be filled of broken stems.
Let not lonely roots stay in their silence
Because they may just add rotting systems
And erase the proofs of our existence.

Each flowery word must have a flower.
Start gardening now you word gardener!
