Fly Poem by Jay Humphrey

Fly

You're beautiful, You know that right?
You're light alone shines, in my sightless night,
Your haunting whispe, echos in my ears,
Negating all my deepest fears,

Please take my hand, You see the sky?
The Stars thundering way up high,
To the angels, a leap is all it takes,
To reach so high? lets raise the stakes,

I see the edge, But with me your safe,
We're taking all life has to take,
Holding you close, Can you feel the heat,
Love, your hearts pounding, Such a beat,

On my soul, you'll feel no pain,
Just simple pleasure, Dancing in the rain,
As we step up, to the sky,
Love, with me, you'll always fly,

The wind rushing, I hear you gasp,
The seconds lengthen, Time elapsed,
The impact soft, no time to cry,
amongst the clouds with a blink of an eye,

Seem them love, surrounding us,
Within the clouds, our vision seems to rush,
We try to breath, but no longer needed,
God beckons, hindsight unheeded,

Take the step, towards the gate,
Collapsing clouds, Such a quick escape,
The winds rushing past our ears,
Love the flame awaits, Dry your tears.
