All we can be now is friends
I've exhausted all of my affections for you
nothing left to give, not even a shoulder
to lean on nor a handkerchief to absorb your tears

Even though you never asked
I've already given too much of myself
whilst hoping for just a little bit of you
but alas, you aren't a prize won by merit

So, I'm ready to set you free
go - fly into the arms that suit you best
I sincerely hope you find what you're looking for
and I wish you love without bounds
