Fly With The Butterfly Poem by Storm Youngstrom

Fly With The Butterfly

Rating: 4.0

It fluttered on a vine in the backyard
So peacefully and undisturbed
Its magnificent colors overwhelmed me
How could something so small
Fill me with such joy and love
I reached for it
He climbed on my fingertip
Its wings quivered
And the delicate silk
shredded on my
roughened fingertips
It then took flight
It was so untouchable
And such a magnificent creature
I wanted to sprout wings and fly with him
Soar the open air with no limits
I wanted to be a Butterfly
