Foiled Attempts And Soiled Dementia Poem by Bradley John Downs

Foiled Attempts And Soiled Dementia

somethings dont change, i could sit here for hours,
discovering the sound, see whats around
take what i can, other wise just be mellow
and control the feeling inside, man
this is a way that we can verify the hours and justify the means
dont you think?
well in a way im like here but not really here, can you hear?
i cant see thru your eyes into your hearts
its better that way, it makes so much sense
but sometimes i wish i could see thru your defense
and make the most of my days, with concise focus and a bit of a daze
cos it makes me feel better
better about myself and the world i know
i strive to grow and live passionatly
enhance the minds eye.
make a streamline flight back to the records in the marble castle where the crypt awaits,
the book tells all the fates, but your cannot come back the same
something changes, rearranges you aim
takes the pain.the strain, the drain
thankfully the passage is in our domain,
but behind the walls inside of your brain
there lies whats left of your feelings uncontained, unrestrained.
like it was when your were a child
when you had the essence and the drive of the wild
adaption conquers most
the life im trying to find is hovering outside of my grasp,
this found me and im tryna make it last
thru the foiled attempts and soiled dementia
the rapture repeates and the room heats
i never been able to follow ideal
and the manic side trys to control the wheel
but the imprint stays the same
the zen levels and its all the same again
its all the same
back to the beginning
the way it was
before the change
its better this way
