Follow The Leader Poem by Kevin Patrick

Follow The Leader

Rating: 5.0

Cheerfully skipping over active landmines
While you willfully freeze in the firing line
Blithely grinning at the enfilades wake
And file in rank to the militant Stake
Capitulate to triumph of the will of the cudgel
As you drown in the mob and give up the struggle
Between fascists elephants and brain-dead donkeys
It's a relative choice of the same rapist's honkey

Your free wills in seizure so follow the leader

Slip the rubber gag in at the ballot box
Then bend over for the master of your silver fox
Your chains will be dripping with perspiration
Raving with button of lustful Mutilation
Keep dancing to the beat of the party line
Some of Jims kool-aid will keep you on Cloud nine
Soon confetti will be snowing compromise
Revel in crowds where reasons tranquilized

Like a son of faith healer you should follow the leader

Subscribe to the tribe that best testifies
your high valued morals are cheaply merchandized
Here's a dog collar all red, white and blue
A nice leather leash to make your dreams come true
Put the blind fold on, feel the whip run amok
It's our pyrrhic game and your gag reflex is stuck
Acceding on your knees until your at ease
As you slither down town to chiefs of deceit
liver spotted pigs squeals in the pulpit
join their parish sty as another filthy culprit

If perversions your fever then follow the leader

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Politics is picking the person you think will steal from you less. Mind you in america when you have human cancer sitting in the white house even a douchbag is better.

" Like a son of faith healer you should follow the leader." A leader should be careful, responsible and caring to people for love and peace. There should be tribal development. All should skip landmines and fire like war and conflicts. A peaceful leader, a nice person should be followed. An amazing poem is brilliantly penned...5 stars..

The plight of this power is frightening. What century are we living in? Politicians all over the world need to.... Stop boasting, stop roasting, stop posting, stop hosting And just start toasting... That they are all going to make this world a better place Not for the politicians and their deep pockets For the people and the country. Thank you for your interesting views that would be followed silently.

If we are into this kind of politics, the future of our children will be sacrificed and chaos will prevail. I concur with the wonderful comments of Poetess Lyn Paul. People and leaders must go hand in hand to make the world a better place. People must exercise their inherent power... Power to choose the right people to seat in the government and if these people who are elected are not responsive enough to the needs of the people, then we have the right to unseat them.

A poem of great depth. Perceptive and incisive lines depicting today's kind of politics. " Your free will is in seizure so follow the leader." " Like a son of faith healer, you should follow the leader." Yes, some people follow blindly, sacrificing their right of suffrage, unmindful of the future.
