Walking and walking
Upon the sands of time
Through timeless rhyme
Of joy and woe
Of grief and strife
Kept in store for life
Not known to where
With Nature’s fixed laws
Marching forward
Though with a little pause
To see many pleasant things
Health, wealth, name and fame
Life on us bestowing
It’s but upon the world
A touch passing
A footprint upon the way
Next flowing wave
Will wash it away
And when the temple bell rings
None will be there
To follow your footprints
For they will be gone
With the passing wave
For time and tide wait for none
In between cradle and grave………
Life is too short for joys and sorrows
Name, fame, health, wealth all momentary
For love's sake let us those bury
Love lives on forever
And leaves footprints
For generations to remember.........

I would like to translate this poem
In between cradle and grave……… Life is too short for joys and sorrows Life is so fleeting! Before we even know time will fly away! Those who walked on the Earth, disappear one by one. In our short sojourn here, there is hardly any time for hate or enmity! With death, one will be deprived of wealth, power and all our belongings! What remains is the love we leave behind! A highly philosophical poem alerting us of the transitory nature of man's life on Earth!
Many thanks.......Valsa......I am truly humbled
