Footprints in the sand
The make their mark
In their own lifetime
Short lived
Soon to be washed away by the tide
Erased from memory
As if they were never there at all
In their own time
They are beautiful
Profound
And photogenic
Sun shining down on them
Offering beauty
And solace
In its moment
So short
In comparison to the grand scale of time
Just like this life of mine
I am a footprint
In the sand of our
Universe and time
Shining in the few seconds I have
Before the waves wash me away
