For Atl Poem by Angelique Wright

For Atl

I love you so much
and then the wind blows
And trying not to get caught
in the everydayness of life
I go with it.
Not without regard for you
but with more regard for my sanity
So I apologize until I hope you understand
And then the wind blows again
We start over
Its not that I can't be caged
or tied down (or any other cliché)
It's just that sometimes I don't think
So now I try harder
and even though I sometimes fail,
when the wind blows, I close
my eyes
dig my toes into the ground
and wait
for the wind to blow
in your direction
before I let go.
