For Her Poem by Doug Bri

For Her

Its 5 O’clock in the morning
Rushing home from the club from my job
Gonna see your pretty eyes, amazing thighs
Girl you have me wrapped up like you don’t know
Got me racing through the town like as if I own
I paved the road to your heart and we built upon it together
This city, our home, it could not have been without your love

Now its 5: 30 talking to you on the phone hearing you getting ready for work
Soon I’ll be there I said and I know it made you smile on the other end
Don’t rush baby you said. But you just don’t understand
The responsibility it is to be your man. The privilege it is to make you happy
Mi amor when was the last time I told you that you were beautiful
Or reminded you how much I adore you?
Let those other lame guys try honestly you will never find another one like I
Not trying to be cocky but it’s the truth
I will never find another like you, so if I lose you don’t expect me to go out looking
No other could replace you!
