For Jake The Boy Who Loved To Sniffed Glue

Rating: 4.5

There was once a boy I knew
Who loved to sniff strong glue
He sniffed so much
He was sticky to touch
And he always had the flue.

He was as thin as a rake
And each morning he'd shake
Such a pale taunt face
With breath as potent as mace
Lonely was this boy Jake.

He was as white as a sheet
And would melt in the heat
Then one day he sadly died
poor sod has glued his mouth to his eyes.

This poem started off really well but the flippancy of the last line ruined it, in my opinion, Vincent. Come on, you can do better than that. Glue sniffing is a very serious topic and it does kill many of our youngsters.......... Love, Fran xx
