Life is a series of lessons,
Of which we are supposed to learn,
We are supposed to put out the fires,
Before the flames catch something to burn,
Each lesson gives us knowledge,
We didn't have in the beginning,
Sometimes it may seem like we're losing,
But then one day we find we are winning,
In times when we feel the weakest,
We find strength we didn't know was there,
The puzzle finally fits together,
We can release our irrational fear,
Move on to something beautiful and new,
To restart the life we let lapse,
Creating a fortress of future,
Letting go of the pain and the past,
Cheer like a victor and champion,
Because you made it through the rain,
You have accomplished much in this life,
It's your 'self' you've found once again.
