Let the children of your anxious mind,
In other arms their comfort find,
And come yourself away with me,
Beyond the palms and limpid sea.
To where the crystal drops of rain,
And wading birds in silent train,
Stir placid ponds of liquid balm,
To bathe your troubled soul in calm.
O, look beyond the daily dread,
O, seek out nature's joys instead,
Join the curlew in it’s cry,
And in the purple heather lie.
Does the joyful coloured flower,
In troubled heart, both shrink and cower?
No, it faces God, and smiles for Him,
And sings for glory, a sweet victory Hymn!
