For My Wife Poem by John McGrew

For My Wife

If you could see yourself with my eyes
You’d know then why I fantasize
About your hair, your lips, your face
The form you carry with such grace
Your arms, your nose, your eyes and legs
For each of these my being begs

Modesty does not dim your light
Neither does the pain you fight
Your frailties do not quench your fire
Nor do they dampen my desire
In heaven you surely must be missed
For by an angel I have been kissed

I think about you day and night
Your beauty blinds me with it’s light
I love you more and more each day
You help this lost soul find his way
I wish my dear that you could see
I love you unconditionally
